About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team at the Comfort Mainstay Suites Hotel, a dual-branded, extended stay property known for delivering exceptional service to our guests. As the AGM, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, staff management, financial performance, and overall hotel quality. Your role is crucial to ensuring that we continue to provide a comfortable, welcoming, and efficient environment for both short- and long-term guests.
Responsibilities
Including the following but are not limited to:
Operations Management
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments run efficiently and effectively.
Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction through consistent guest service, cleanliness, and maintenance.
Address guest concerns, ensuring timely resolution of complaints, and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Monitor and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory standards.
Staff Supervision & Development
Lead, motivate, and train the hotel team, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and other operational staff.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training programs to develop team members.
Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help with the development of individual team members’ growth plans.
Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performance work culture.
Guest Service Excellence
Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service, with a focus on building strong relationships with guests, particularly long-term guests.
Implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and achieve positive reviews and ratings on various platforms.
Oversee check-in/check-out procedures and address any issues that may arise
Financial & Budgetary Oversight
Assist the General Manager in preparing and managing the hotel budget, ensuring revenue goals and profitability targets are met.
Monitor and control operational costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Assist with revenue management strategies, including pricing adjustments and inventory control.
Sales & Marketing
Collaborate with the sales team to support marketing initiatives, special promotions, and longterm stay offerings.
Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and potential group bookings.
Help drive occupancy and revenue through effective management of room rates and extended stay packages.
Maintenance & Housekeeping Oversight
Ensure that the hotel is in excellent condition and that maintenance and housekeeping teams are meeting cleanliness and quality standards.
Manage room inspections and ensure that guest rooms, common areas, and amenities are well-maintained and fully operational.
Qualifications/ Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in hospitality management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in an extended stay or hotel environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
Proficiency with hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Protel) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
High standards of customer service and professionalism.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Knowledge of the extended stay market and guest needs is a plus.

Bonus Eligibility/Requirements
You are eligible to receive a quarterly bonus up to $1,000.00 based on the overall LTR score (including 3rd party reviews) determined by Choice Hotels Medallia program. The bonus will follow the structure below:
LTR score of 9.5-10: $1,000.00
LTR score of 9.00-9.49: $750.00
LTR score of 8.50-8.99: $500.00
You are eligible to receive an annual $3,500.00 bonus if Gross Operating Profits exceeds $1,450,000.00 in a calendar year.
*Bonus thresholds are subject to change after year one.
