
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to help lead the housekeeping team at our Choice-branded hotel. This position plays a key role in ensuring guest rooms and public areas are consistently cleaned, inspected, and maintained to brand standards.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and capable of leading by example while helping maintain a clean, welcoming, and guest-ready hotel environment every day.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
Supervise housekeeping staff and assign daily room boards and cleaning duties
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, laundry areas, hallways, stairwells, and storage spaces for cleanliness and presentation
Ensure all cleaned rooms meet Choice brand cleanliness and presentation expectations
Monitor room status and coordinate with the Front Desk to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready on time
Assist in cleaning rooms when needed to support the team and daily occupancy demands
Ensure proper stocking of housekeeping carts, closets, and linen areas
Quality Control & Brand Standards
Perform detailed room inspections to ensure:
Beds are properly made
Bathrooms are fully sanitized
Floors, mirrors, glass, and surfaces are spotless
Amenities and supplies are replenished
Furniture, appliances, and fixtures are clean and in place
Help ensure rooms are maintained in a condition consistent with Choice Hotels guest expectations
Verify long-stay / extended-stay room servicing is completed properly and on schedule
Identify maintenance issues during inspections and report them promptly
Help maintain consistency in both guest rooms and public spaces
Team Leadership
Train new housekeepers on hotel procedures, cleaning techniques, room setup, and inspection standards
Coach staff on speed, efficiency, attention to detail, and professionalism
Monitor team performance and help hold staff accountable to quality expectations
Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, and shift coverage as needed
Help create a positive, team-oriented work environment
Inventory & Supplies
Track and report linen, towel, amenity, and supply needs
Help control housekeeping inventory and reduce waste/loss
Ensure housekeeping closets and storage areas remain clean and organized
Assist with laundry and linen management as neede
Qualifications/ Requirements
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping experience required
Previous hotel housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Experience in a hotel environment strongly preferred
Strong eye for detail and cleanliness
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
Strong communication and team leadership skills
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays
Able to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout shift
