Kingsley + Co. Expands Affordable Housing Efforts into Columbus with Mercy on Main

Kingsley + Co. is proud to announce the continued expansion of its affordable housing portfolio into Columbus, Ohio through Mercy on Main, the company’s first affordable housing development in the city.
Located in Old Town East, Mercy on Main will bring 65 high-quality affordable housing units to the area, furthering Kingsley + Co.’s mission to create impactful, community-focused developments throughout Ohio.
The project’s name carries deep personal meaning for Kingsley + Co. Owner Chinedum Ndukwe. Mercy on Main is named in honor of his grandmother, Mercy Okoronkwo, whose compassion, generosity, and selflessness continue to inspire the company’s mission and Ndukwe’s approach to development.
“My grandmother Mercy embodies why I continue to focus on the affordable housing space,” said Ndukwe. “If there was a need, she was first to step up with her time, money, whatever she had. Our goal at Mercy in Main will be to ensure future residents experience that same compassion.”
As a native of Powell, Ohio, just outside Columbus, the project allows Ndukwe to reinvest in the community that helped shape his values. “Columbus played a foundational role in who I became,” Ndukwe said. “Giving back through affordable housing is about creating opportunities for others to thrive.”
Mercy on Main marks Kingsley + Co.’s third overall 9% LIHTC development. Previous developments include Victory Vistas and Blair Lofts in Cincinnati, along with Adelphi Quarter in Columbus’ Olde Towne East neighborhood. Kingsley + Co. also recently broke ground on The Blair, another affordable housing development in Cincinnati, with Kinsey Lofts expected to follow.
Through projects like Mercy on Main, Kingsley + Co. remains focused on delivering quality affordable housing while creating long-term economic and social impact in underserved communities.
